ABOUT ME

 

I'm a crocheter and crochet addicted.

I was born and grew up in Italy, in Santa Maria Capua Vetere (such a long name, I know!) near Naples. I am a foreign language teacher and a freelance translator. I speak Italian, English, Arabic, Spanish and would like to learn any new language and travel all around the world.

Crochet is not my job, it's my passion, it's what I do in every single spare moment in my life. 

Nobody taught me how to crochet! My granny was an excellent crocheter and my house is still full of her blankets and doilies. She worked with very old styled tecniques, using thin cotton and very small crochets. Unfortunately, I have just few memories of her but I've inherited her passion and, above all, her manual skills.

I started crocheting at the age of 15 and I self-taught myself how to use crochet and yarn. I read old books, tried and failed many times and now I enjoy creating, reproducing and inventing patterns by myself.
